About Us

This project was developed through a partnership between the Union of Concerned Scientists and the Harvey Mudd College Clinic Program. The Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) puts independent science into action and advocates for a healthy, safe, and just future. This project supports UCS’s efforts to advance equity in federal infrastructure investments in California.
The project team includes Harvey Mudd College Capstone Clinic students (Georgia Klein, Mo Kyn, Ryder Mitchell, Allyson Yao) and their faculty advisor (Dr. Jamie Haddock), along with researchers affiliated with UCS's Western States Program (Dr. Amanda Fencl and Jenny Rempel). The team developed the analysis, and the Clinic students built the website and dashboard to interact with the analysis. A report and technical appendix that supports this work are available from the UCS project site.
